2006 Acura TSX Stock Tires: Issues

I have heard mixed reviews on the tires the TSX comes with.
Is there a much better year round tire that people can recomend that will enhance the handling year round over the stock tires? Costs?

I recommend Yoko Avids. I believe tirerack has them for 60-70 per tire. Check the link in my sig =)

I'm pretty happy with the stockers.......will replace when they wear out, but not before then.

I would rather tape sneakers around the rims than drive on those stock Michelin tires. I had to call them constantly to complain about them until I finally got my way and replaced ALL of them.......................I told them I would never buy a car again that came with those tires on them, and if I did I'd request different tires...................anyways, I use Toyo Proxes, love 'em and always have...............little pricey though, 190$ each, but I have a lifetime warranty on them, I could run into a brick wall, puncture the tires and they'd replace them for me for 20$..........

stock tires are about as useful as arnold schwarzenegger knitting a dress. OK, that was a really random analogy but that's how much I disliked the stock tires.

I swapped the stockies out after they wore down for a nice set of Continental ContiExtremeContact. Awesome tires and not too expensive at $90 a piece from TireRack.

I'm running Kumho Ecsta ASX now since they came on the used wheels I got. They are pretty decent too.

I'm going to move this to the tire forum to see if Jake can help you out.

Tirerack does not even carry Falken Ziex 512. Gee, I must have missed the FAQ where I cannot post links to sites.

To add, I was not promoting, just stating the source

I have read so many complaints about the stock tires being bad. I agree the price is over the top but as far as wet weather traction and ice/snow I have no complaints. On my Integra I used to have Bridgestone RE950's which where highly rated for wet traction during the entire life of the tire and I would have to agree with this. I have 20K on my stock Michelin's and the wet traction still feels great. I am however watching the rate of wear as I am beginning to suspect that they are showing signs of wear early.
