Nice shots Haf! And how come there's never exif data in your shots >.<

Ryan - Don't worry about it, a lot of people think the A610 actually takes better shots.

No - it's a ball-mount whose name I don't remember. Got it a while ago. Not high-end, but not wall-mart.

I mean more depth - sharper towards the rear of the car, but still with a blurry background. That usually means opening the aperature a few quarter-stops to a full stop for me. I couldn't use the 50 f1.8 for most of the shots because I had to get so damn far back. I used the 28-70 that I got as a package with the camera. Works fine on a tripod with a delay picture so I don't induce any shake, so I can run a fairly open aperature with a slow shutter to get the right light.

Haf - I'd still be interested in your aperture/shutter speed info. =P

Sky - Haha ok. I have a tiltall tripod myself, not pro but pretty sturdy. Car shots can be tricky because you want enough DOF so the whole car is sharp, but the background is blurred. You seem to be doing pretty good with the 18-70

btw, I just picked up a tamron 28-75 f2.8 from a friend. Very cool lens =)

Nice - I've got my eye on a Nikkor VR 80-200.f2.8. It's like $1500.

I do want to get a thicker tripod some time, but this one holds the camera's weight ok. I need a cable release!!!

Well the wife and I picked up a Nikon Coolpix L3, which IMO is a great camera for us, it's easy to use, and has plenty of features...

i took a bunch of pics for work, i forgot my USB cable for my camera, but i'll try to get them up tomorrow.

Even when the A620 has 2 more MP?

Alright, I'll keep it.

Nice pics, Haf! I've never been to HKG but I have a friend that goes to school with me that is from Taiwan... so maybe one day when he's back home I'll visit him and we can check out the mainland.

For most P&S, you won't see a difference, even blown up, between a 4-6 MP camera and a 10-12 MP. 4-6 MP for the sensor size they have usually is limited by the small lens opening and lens dynamics, rather then the sensor.

Of course, the camera companies want you to think differently, so they up the MP to sell the new camera for more.
