Nice Haf! I'd love to see what you can do with L glass.

Congrats on the wedding, that sounds like fun. I don't know if I could do a wedding, too much pressure on not missing anything and getting the shots exactly right.

and to kev - thanks very much for your pricing info. managed to score some unreal deals off amazon that I couldn't pass up with the free shipping. although always appreciate your discount via CDW and would take advantage when I can!

picked up the 85mm 1.8 and the 17-40mm L f4! (my first L lens) and a couple of diffusers, filters, etc.

big concert photoshoot this weekend and i'm shooting my first wedding next month. couldn't have asked for a better opportunity frankly as they don't want any "posed" shots and they are really having an all day wedding party and just want me to capture the experience of the event! really happy about that. hopefully I'll have the 5D by then.

So this girl I am dating has always wanted a Teacup Chi so her mini poodle would have a friend to play with.

I took it to her work yesterday and she fell in love! I had recieved the dog the night before and was so depressed and terrified of my dog. The little chi had the coolest green eyes so I tried to capture them
What do you guys think?

Try having the light shine more on the eyes and rest of the area darker. Bascially a reverse of what you have above. You might get some different results.

No problem Haf. We rarely are the lowest priced placed to go. Amazon often kicks our ass. I'll still help out whenever I can. As long as you got what you wanted I'm happy with that

Well Andrew, my beloved Cannon for no reason shut off when the lens was out, and now I can't turn it back on to retract the lens. I tried putting in new batteries but it still won't turn on.

I'm sorry mang

This is why I'm staying away from canon P&S cameras for forever. I'm pretty sure that they have a serious design error because a lot of people I know, myself included have had the same issue.

Isn't it under warranty still though? Send it in, and they'll either fix it or replace it for you.

Yikes. That sux Ry.

A job is an involvement, not a commitment. Like a breakfast of ham and eggs: the chicken is involved, the pig is committed.

There are 4 boxes to use in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo. Use in that order. Starting now.

I just looked over my warranty card and it says for one year so I am covered. I'll call them tomorrow and hopefully she'll be replaced or repaired.

Alright, I have to send it in. Funny thing is that the repair center is a town close to my hometown in Illinois. It's actually the same town my dad works in. Too bad I'm not home...

Oh and they said to include a copy of the sales receipt in the box. Well, I purchased it online back in July. Where the hell would I get a receipt?

Yeah, if I could remember where I bought it from.

I used a price search site, pricegrabber.com, so I can't remember exactly what site I used specifically.

I'm going to check my previous bank statements.

Sweeeeeet I found the website on my statement, went there, logged in and BAM it had my order confirmation. All I have to do is print it out.

That, a copy of the warranty card, and the camera will be sent out tomorrow.

Andrew did they do repairs on the previous Cannons you've had this happen to or did they replace them?
