I'd keep the SD400 as a go-everywhere camera. If you want something with better image quality, you can but it's nice to have a camera that you can slip in your pocket.

Not too bad, but thank you. I think I was 7-8 feet away. Thanks for the advice! It is nice to be able to just slip it into my purse to take with me.

Took this with my Canon PowerShot SD400. What do you think? Not sure if I want to get a new camera or not.
Nice pic.

I have the SD 410, and if I were to upgrade, I would go with a Digital SLR. Keep the SD for the pocket, and have the SLR for serious pictures.

Some pics of the car - untouched:

Nice sky, I was wondering how long it was gonna take you to contribute to this thread!! Haha

Are you shooting jpeg or RAW? It's a lot easier to touch white balance/exposure compensation up if you're shooting RAW - although the file size is massive.

JPEG. Raw is too much of an asspain. I have to use the Nikon util to save it as a jpeg or make changes. I only have PS 7.

I could use a little more DOF in the full car shots. Gotta remember to bracket those exposures with aperature. I keep forgetting the D200 has a bracket setting.

Shooting a black car that's clean is an asspain because it doesn't like to autofocus.

And here they are after a bit of basic retouching. The last one is my fave.

Nice, like the retouching you've done.

Is that a wal-mart special tripod you're mounting your $2k camera on?

And you mean less DOF right? Well, you do have a 50 1.8 now right?

You know what really sucks? I just found out for $2 more I could get the A620...

I think I might get it and sell the A610.
