Good stuff, Ian! Color much !?

The blue and the reflections make me want to post the (crazy artistic) shots I took of Michelle's car.

Photoshop tools involving multiple exposures of the same image. Haf was talking about it in some post earlier this year: Never tried it but his results looked spectacular!

Hmm, that sounds more like HDR because I use that technique to combine three or four shots into one image.

A better explanation on what HDR is:

You can DO HDR but it DOES require different exposures...you can't cheat PS--I've tried...LOL. HDR pretty much requires a tripod and one doesn't always have a tripod. Also, sometimes there are moving objects, so that causes a problem getting the HDR sources.

But, there is a process where you can take the same pic and KINDA do the same thing...article, in fact, in this very month's Photoshop User mag (that I get).

Yeah, its not easy getting the right exposures for each shot when doing HDR. I've been learning about HDR for eight months now and I'm still having some trouble getting the right exposures with high amount of highlights in the background. The only good HDR file I've taken with the RSX was this one but background is... weird.

@ Willie..

Ian, it kind of has a nice industrial look to it sort of. I like the pavement.

The background is just overexposed. Being a graphic designer, I've never understood this HDR philosophy of hands off retouching.

Car looks great though!

Did the editing on my laptop - and the screen is not calibrated - so I'm not sure how these are going to look. I'll know better when I get to work tomorrow and put them up on that screen.

For now - Fall in South Jersey, at (what I think will be) Peak Colors.

Shoot time was 7:30 a.m. to about 8:15 a.m. - with tons of low on the horizon sun.

Possible new siggy photo

(Note the Turkey Buzzards on the ramp behind the car - they kept circling and I was afraid they were gonna drop a load on the RSX - Thankfully, they did not)

Had a NJ State Trooper pull over and ask me what I was shooting for - and then commented on how much he liked the car.

I Love my Nikons!

(and kevin thinks he's a picture whore )

Hot damn John! Those shots are awesome! A little too much saturation in the first shot but nice nonetheless.

You said you're shooting with a Nikon. Digital or film?

Thanks, Ian!

D200 and, in these shots, a 70 ~ 200 Nikkor VR that I kind of forgot that I had: Was tucked in the back of a closet. Used it a lot a couple of years ago for sports photography, then it got shuffled when Terry moved 18 months ago.

Really sharp, pretty damn fast (but BIG) piece of glass!

First one I'm going to tweak for my sig pix.
