Interesting (if you like future eco housing/solutions to living)

Russian Architect Alexander Remizov Released a Prototype Design of “The Ark” | Batangas Today | Breaking News, World News And More News

(you'll need to click through the 6 pages...)

Article is about a design able to hold 50-10,000 people in a self-sustaining contained environment.

(It's just a coincidence it resembles a slinky... )

Don't have time to read it all but skimming the first page leaves me thinking its pretty cool. I love modern architecture with mostly glass as a building material.

Our Father, who art in Autos, hollowed be thy frame. Thy Horsepower come, Thy torque be fun, in Imports as in Domestics. Give us this day our daily fuel, and forgive us our hooning, as we forgive those who hoon against us, and lead us not into chrome accents, but deliver us from rice. For thine is the Cam, and the Piston, and the Rod, for ever and ever. Or until they break.. Amen.

Yeah, considering the interest level, it's a pretty informative article. A huge part of it is either underground or underwater.

An impressive structure, to be sure. HOWEVER, it might contain a lot of places for people to live that are quite tiny (as in a lot of the recent designs in "tiny living spaces" you can see here and there on the webs).

As cool as that structure is (and an article I've bookmarked to read later) I often wonder what these places have in mind (and what challenges) first-responders face in the event of an emergency...
