Isn't braking the bigger problem in winter ? sure AWD helps the car accelerate, but doesn't do anything for braking

I love Panera. And like Dave said, it's very healthy and always delicious.

The You Pick Two - lately I have been getting the Black Bean or Broccoli Cheddar soup and 1/2 a Greek salad.

All for ~$6.50.

And fucking fresh and tasty.

We don't have one on our side but I went once out of town and they have all weird stuff and not normal stuff. They suggested going back the next day and I said no way.

AWD doesn't just help with acceleration, it helps with traction. It idea is to not spin the tires on the snow.

Most OEM brakes from good manufacturers like Honda/Acura do fine in the snow. As long as you aren't going too fast, braking normally isn't the problem.

Well, yes it does help some. But, the best thing for winter driving conditions is to slow the fuck down. :co:

AWD should not be used as an acceleration tool. Ever. It is a traction and stability tool only, Dave. You know how to drive in winter conditions, I'm sure, as well as anybody considering where you are from.

BC kicks a field goal and goes up 20-17 with one quarter left.

Shouldn't be this close. What's going on, Kris???

It really wasn't that big of a deal, I was mostly just in a bad mood because I had to leave my friends and then there was this retarded chick at the house. I actually got a lot of stuff done.

But now, time for gym, and then hopefully hanging out and watching some college foozeball.

I agree with you with the "slow the fuck down"

and yes I know how to drive in winter conditions... and that's why I think that it's irresponsible to not have winter tires in places with snow (it's also illegal where I come from). If you need brake very fast to avoid something or someone, only winter tires will lower your braking distance.

Sorry I don't want to sound too harsh, but I'm just very surprised that you don't have winter tires where you live.

You've never been to a Panera?

They're everywhere on the east coast. I can think of 5 just off the top of my head that are within a 20-minute drive from my house.

That used to be our after-church jam for the first couple years of college. It meant you're eating ramen and drinking PBR the rest of the week, though.

That's what I did when I lived up north. Both my Integras had all season performance rubber and it did just fine in the snow. The key is just realizing you can't drive like Michael Shumacher when there's 8'' of snow and ice on the road.
