i remember someone doing it before. i think it looked ok, coz' ideally you need to smoke the light, but painting it black is different. dunno how exactly you should do it though

I have 00 TL and never seen any one with TL-S blacked-out H/L. I am not really familiar how 02-03 H/L looks like, so I can really tell but you have to leave some reflection portion out so that HID beam pattern doesn't get focused out!!!

Here's my pic.

2000 Satin Silver TL w/NAV

__ Accord HID FogKit w/JDM INSPIRE Switch __ JDM INSPIRE Rear Sunshade
__ JDM INSPIRE Trunk Spoiler w/clear brake light __ JDM SABER Grille painted
__ JDM INSPIRE Taillights __ Black Chrome JDM INSPIRE 32V badge on the trunk
__ JDM American Eagle Emblems __ JDM Black Honda emblem on the trunk
__ JDM Modulo(Honda Performance) Badges
__ 19 X 8 Lowenhart LD1 polished w/Toyo Proxes FZ4 (235/35/19)
__ Burlywood Steering Wheel __ Genuine Lower Spoiler Kits
__ H&R OE Springs __ Comptech Sway Bars __ Cross Drilled Rotors
__ Neuspeed Chrome Upper Strut Tie-Bar __ 3A Racing Exhaust Tips
__ AEM CAI with by-pass Valve __ Philips 6000K D2R bulbs
__ GEX-P7000TV tuner w/AN-G3 antenna __ JENSEN VCR __ Indiglo Gauge
__ More to come.......

Ryan,

When you take it apart to take the orange deflector out, you can also take out the chrome housing from the lens. (It's held by little screw) And you can paint the housing in any color you want!!!

Yeah we can do it bro...thing is I didn't think it'd look good on my car...but maybe it'll look good on yours. What color are you thinking of? I'm not sure what color would go best with your car.

I recently saw a 2003 black cl-s with the blacked out lights and it was off the hook. Being that you have a black TL-S i think your car would look great with blacked out lights.
