vibration at 65-70 mph

I have an 03tl S. I get a little vibration on the highway at 60-70 mph, but I cant figure out if its from the engine, suspension or wheel/tires. Its worse in 5th gear and diminishes when I shift to 4th. It almost feels like the engine is lugging. Just to make sure I had all tires balanced, etc. O2 sensor is a though, too. Anybody with some ideas?

Ken - the change in gears == engine rpm. For the age of your car, I'd suspect engine mounts. the rubber just rots out (have one in my driveway). Live with it or invest a weekend swapping them out.

Usually vibrations under 60mph are tires, above 60mph axles. But from what you're saying it does sound like mounts, probably the back one. One an older car id change them all, not just the one, parts like that usually aren't to expensive now a days.

I think you should upgrade your car, as it looks like a little bit old. Or maybe you have to replace some of the parts that made this issue!
