2006 TL Has Decided Not to Start

This morning after driving to a meeting a short distance away from my house, my 2006 TL decided not to start. The battery is about 4 months old, so I don't think this is a battery issue. The first time I started the car this morning, it started normally, no slow cranking or dimming of the instrument cluster illumination. The symptoms are when you turn the key, you get nothing. The starter does not try to start the car at all. A quick check online seems to indicate a failed starter which appears to make sense.

Anyone who has suffered a similar failure and determined the cause, please let me know what your solution was.
