well, the tls is still a nice car it's not like you are driving a civic now
and for the record, is3 is SLOW

now that i'm back in Indiana, i want to go back to RWD (had a 300ZX before the TL) and definitely want to go back to manual
but i doubt i'll get my way unless my tranny drops so i'll get to keep the TL for a couple more years
oh well.. i'm grateful for what i have, just bitter towards my decision

|rominl||man you make it like you made a total mistake in the car! though i truly have to agree with the tranny part. heck that's the reason i got rid of my tls and got the is3|

TL engine = limited as hell
IS = stick
TL = slush box
IS = no worries about tranny dropping and killing me
TL = worries about tranny dropping and killing me
IS = smaller
TL = as long as my dad's truck
IS = RWD
TL = FWD
i could go on

about the speed, the car is going to be fast. the is430 done by tte in europe, with the 5 speed auto from the gs430, it does 5.6 0-100km (0-62mph), so with the new 6 speed, light flywheel, it should be close to 5.
now i am wondering what if there is a is430 with modded engine would do

Yes, I was there.

|car_lost||bad ass car, but the paint job has to go, and the wheels are meh.|

|Drew||i wish i would have gotten an IS rather than my TL-s|

Note to self: Don't ever use this guy!!!!
To complete the package, Chip Foose from Foose Design was employed to give the IS 430 a more aggressive yet functional appearance. Foose used subtle upgrades including a Rhys Millen Racing front lip spoiler and side skirts with a black over red exterior color scheme that emphasizes the wedge profile of the tightly drawn IS body. A mesh grille and gray headlamp treatment is used up front, and the taillights and rear badging are modified for a simpler look at the rear. Dual exhaust tailpipes help improve performance.
Way to go dork! Take a great piece of mechanics and make it look like garbage.

|Brian||I like the paint scheme just don't like the choice in colors.|

i'm curious where those pics where taken at b/c there's no way in hell that's in vegas!
interesting engine, great numbers.....disgusting paint job...and i REALLY can't stand the tail lights....even the front looks like it could use some work.........however, i really think that it's just that this car is getting kinda old in design...needs an update...

(rominl's gonna love this one!)
Honestly I was just thinking about that because, they just put the GS300 engine in the IS when it first came out. Also I was thinking that the V6 and V8 had to be pretty similar to fit into the same GS. So why not do that on the IS also?
Well I'm glad to see that it is possible, although the paint scheme is absolutely horrible.
But the numbers that car could put up would probabbly be faster than the GS430's 0-60 in 5.8, so pretty quick. So that I like.
