  1. 3rd Gen TL (2004-2008)
Hello, i have a 04 TL. Just replaced timing belt/water pump, thermostat, oil pump, and spark plugs. Drove great for 2 days and then i noticed the headlight was out so i went to replace it. I was waiting on a part to come in the mail and so i was going to pull the car up the driveway and as i...
  2. 3rd Gen TL (2004-2008)
Hi, pardon me if this has been asked before but I didn't see it in the threads. My 2004 TL has just over 90k miles, mostly city, so I'm going to have a timing belt job done on it (incl water pump, tensioner, etc.) My garage is very trustworthy - takes great care of me, occasionally does things...
  3. 2nd Gen Legend
I just finished doing my timing belt this weekend. I got my parts as a kit from Rockauto.com. (gasp!). A Dayco kit that included the timing belt, Water pump, tensioner, and the cam and crank seals. Nice kit for around 120.00. The seals were really not needed, but I changed the crank seal just...

  5. 2nd Gen TL (1998-2003)
I just bought a 2003 TL with 95,000 miles on it. I worked it into the sale that the dealer would replace the timing belt, not realizing that it's suggested to replace the water pump at the same time. I talked to the service department and they said that they would "inspect" the water pump...
  6. MDX
I just hit 102,000 and had my timing belt, water pump and tensioner changed. Had a local shop do it. Total cost was $808.00 Honda dealer wanted $20 less. They weren't going to change the tensioner (the $20). If you are going to do it, change this part while you are in there, it is cheap...
