I have the very same problem with my new legend i picked up last week.
I just took my 94 legend L to a very good import drivetrain mechanic,
he said the torque converter was bad. My legend is new to the family and has a warranty that wont cover the cost if they pull the tranny to diagnose the torque converter and find it to be ok. He says 80% chance itll be bad but he wont know till he sees the evidence. So, if the torque converter ends up to be ok. Im stuck with a 9 hour bill and 65.00 an hour.
I saw him check it with a stethoscope, said there was a bunch of rattlin around in there. Does this sound right ? i have no idea, and dont know if its worth takeing the risk of paying out of pocket to find nothing wrong.
What would you do ?
