hi i just bought a 2000 acura el and when u let it sit there an idle it revs at around 2 grand anyone have any ideas?

hi - I had a similar problem yesterday and it turned out to be that the rev cable (which is a blue cable in my 2001 acura) was getting stuck. Once it was released/unsnagged the rpm went back to normal.
