So last night my TL cut off and wouldn't start back up. Shitty part is it decided to do it an hour and a half from my house so it's just sitting in LA right now. Luckily I had my Z with me also so I packed 5 people into a 2 seater and got home.

So basically the TL will turn over fine...it tries to start and cuts right off. Sometimes it will throw a really small backfire. I got it to start and run for a few minutes but once i turned it off it wouldn't start again. Check engine light came on...traction control light came on....and abs light came on.

Any normal issues with the TL that would explain this? If it's something i can replace with basic tools on the side of the street i'd prefer to go that route instead of having it towed to a honda/acura shop down the street from where it broke down.

This is going to be really hard to tell without actually looking at the car. It could be anything from timing belt, burnt valve, overly tight valve lash, etc.

Well I went down and checked the codes....got code for camshaft position sensor...misfire on all 6 cylinders and crank shaft positioning sensor.....cleared the codes and cycled the ignition and got it to start and cut off a few times untill the check engine light came back on and now its just throwing codes for the camshaft position sensor.
