Hello first off im sorry if this a a dumb question...
my GF has a 2001 Acura Integra GS and a long time ago put an after market cold air intake. Well this year she has to do a smog and now it wont pass it because of the air intake she has.. Went to dealer and they want 800+ dollars for the air intake..Some one told us that she can get an after market one thats street legal and that way it will pass the smog.. Our problem is that everywhere we look the only cold air intakes are for gs-r or type r Intgra. where can we find a street legal one so she can pass her smog check? Thanks

call a junk yard, or look online for a used air box assy. make sure you have the resonator also. I doubt that a cold air intake would cause it to not pass smog tests. any check engine lights? when you rev it (over 3k) does it blow smoke? (if so a top ring is stuck or all top rings)

any leaks?
Check engine light?
exhaust smoke?
exhaust problems?

you cant pass smog with a after market intake whatsoever.
go to a local junk yard and get STOCK INTAKE.
It doesn't have to be the same engine.
But must be B-series motor.
just go thru smog then you're able to put back intake .
there's another way you can go thru smog without going to junk yard or putting another stock intake. Just get a carb intake sticker and put it the after market intake.

hopes this helps
