Today's edition of Automotive News publishes two spy shots of the new Accord Coupe. The caption reads, "Honda over the years has been uncannily successful at keeping its redesigned models under wraps, often until the day it starts shipping vehicles. Not this time. Picture here is the redesigned 2003 Accord coupe, snapped nearly 2.5 months before the vehicle is supposed to go public." Go to www.automotivenews.com and you can see a very small snapshot of the front page, with the picture of the car. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner or I would post them myself. You can also go to a newsstand and look at a copy.

It looks terrific, and is much more stylized than the previous generation. The back somewhat resembles a Mercedes (slightly) and the front is aggressive with larger headlights than you would expect for an Accord. All in all I like.

Confirmed - All new for 2003 inside and out. Available with Satellite Navigation System. 6-spd manual for the V-6 Coupe. New colors include Sapphire Blue Pearl, Desert Mist Metallic, Graphite Pearl, and Redondo Red Pearl. Expect the all new Accord in showrooms this September.

- The first allocation event will take place May 24th for the 2003 Sedan only. These vehicles will be for August production. The Accord Coupe will be produced at a later date, most likely in September.

OK. I'm really liking the looks of the coupe. If it really comes with a 6 speed on the V6 and navi, my next car purchase decision just got a lot harder to make. Do I go with the 2003 CL 6 speed or the Accord? Any word on the suspension on the Accord? I'm guessing it will be more like the CL-P than the CL-S. Ditto on the engine? Once (if) then kill the CL, is the TL going to be the only car with the Type S engine? Also, any word on weight?
