I just picked up a really sharp, well cared for '03 that has 66,000 one owner miles. The auto transmission looks like one of the good ones as it shifts beautifully. Here's my question: do I change the trans fluid because of mileage/age or do I hesitate to change it out for fear of bringing on the dreaded transmission problems. In other words, should I leave well enough alone or should I pre-emptively change fluid? If I do change is there a special oil that should be used on these transmissions?

These transmissions fail when any other transmission fluid is used apart from Honda.
