I've got a 2004 Acura TL in the shop that the brake lights don't work. It had a code (can't remember the number) for brake switch failure, and my usual method for diagnosing inop brake lights is to jump the switch and see if they light up.

Well sure enough after I found the hot wire and jumped it with a homemade test light and all the brake lights came on, but pressing the pedal with everything connected did nothing. So I assumed the brake switch had failed and ordered another from Advance. After installing it I still had no brake lights, so I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

I know that all the bulbs are good and the wiring is good, as it all comes on with the connector jumped. Finding service information wasn't very easy and I don't know where to go from here. If you guys could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!
