Hello,

My wife drives our RDX and today a message popped up in the screen saying there is a Air Bag issue error # 32-2? Any one have this issue? Best fix? Any idea of the cost?
Mine just started throwing the same error message. I took it to the dealer and they told me that the battery was failing tests and it just needed to be replaced. I didnt think that would be it. I had the dealer replace the battery. They waived their $120 diagnostic "fee" since they said they couldn't pinpoint exactly what was causing the error but the battery was about $150. From what I could tell the battery was working fine. The RDX fired up immediately. They cleared the error code from the system.

Three days later the error is back. I took it back to Acura and they are now telling me that there is a problem with a wiring harness that runs to the side airbag through the floor. They want $1020 to fix the problem. I told them I was not going to pay that amount and I am going to pick the vehicle up today. I will just live with it for now and trade it in sometime soon. Who's to say that that is what it really is anyway. They got it wrong the first time.

I was hoping that there would be some kind of warranty on the SRS system but that is not the case. I am not to pleased about this whole thing but that is the way it goes when your vehicle is off warranty. $1000 to install a small wiring harness to an airbag sounds like highway robbery to me. Maybe I will give an independent shop a try.

I did some heavy google searching and was not able to turn up much about this 32-2 error FYI.
