Hello everyone. I recently purchased a used 2012 Acura TL FWD V6. The car hesitates somewhere in the 1,000 - 2,000 RPM Range. I notice it the most when I start from 0 going up hill slowly. The car has 42k miles on it. I took it into the dealer today and they said they could not find anything wrong with it.

I read a post on here (can't post link yet) and the guy said he got his EGS replaced. What is an EGS and how much does it cost? What about the APP Sensor? What else could it be? thanks

I took it to the car dealer to get the oil / filter changed (using the oil and filter I provided). I told them about the hesitation. They updated the software on the computer and a mechanic who drives a TL said it drives that way normally. The update did make the hesitation go away a little. So I took it to a Asian Car Specialist. I had them change the transmission fluid with AMSOIL Signature Series Transmission Fluid (blue bottle one). It now shifts very smoothly. I know this is excessive, but I plan on changing the Transmission Fluid along with the Engine Oil for now on.

Hello, I had the same issue. I have a 2012 TL with 80K miles. Horrible hesitation when I accelerated. I read this post on the forum and looked at my maintenance records and realized I had never changed my transition fluid!!! A simple drain and fill and it runs like it is brand new. Man, I missed the acceleration! Best $99 I ever spent.
