Our 2017 MDX all of a sudden has a sporatic battery drain issue. Twice it wouldnt start after sitting overnight. And once when sitting at a stop light (It just stopped running and wouldnt restart) Have had the battery and alternator checked and both good. Have read where it may be the Hands free blue tooth module or AC clutch relay. Does anyone know where the HFL module is located on this 2017 so I can disconnect it to see if this is the problem ?

Hi unfortunately I completely understand you.I had the same situation when my battery just died in one night before an important trip
My audio system stole energy of the battery.Talking about your issue I really recommend you to visit a car service to avoid a bigger problems with your car

Diagnosing this is not trivial. Most common is the AC Clutch sticking on. That will produce a 10 amp draw that will kill a battery over night. A bluetooth or other accessory, save for the rear window defroster, will not draw so much power and your car should start and charge the next day.

Take it to the dealer, they have a computer program that will identify the bad actor in minutes.

You could just buy an AC Clutch relay and swap.it, for about $20 if you want to take a flyer.

If you want to do this yourself, you will need a clamp on ammeter and a service manual identifying all of the relays. Just start pulling them one at a time until the drainage current stops. Replace that unit and ur done
