my gas mileage just dropped to 18 miles per gallon last week with not apparent differences in driving habit?
Any ideas why it dropped?

I've noticed that I get a LOT less mpg in SS with the same driving style as D5. The difference being my shifting prefernces not my driving style.

How many miles do you have on your car? Dirty air filter or fuel filter can do that too.

I've noticed that i have realllly reallly bad mpg's also, i have to fill up almost every week but i think its due to me hittin vtec all the time LOL :dunno: but yea, also i drive usually on streets and not on highways.

Something else that affects gas mileage: heat and humidity.

I've noticed really shitty gas mileage too. I thought it would have improved after my oil change.:dunno:
it didn't? it did in my case. my gas mileage constantly stays at around 24-26mph with mix city/fwy driving, which is pretty decent.

and of course, if you hit vtec every time, nothing much i could say :D

My gas mileage has remained at about 20 MPG, no matter what time of year it is or how hard I drive. I hit VTEC probably once every 2 days, and I drive about 40 miles a day, most of which is on the highway.

And my gas mileage only has a mild correlation with the number of miles you drive... the longer I drive, the better my mileage, but only slightly.

Thanks for the insight. I have ruled out weather, humidity, tire pressure or the number of times I hit VTEC. The only conclusion I has is - BAD GAS (the car not me :))
I will switch gas station and see what happens. Still pumping 91 octane
