I really love my 96 3.2 TL! Formerly had 83 and 85 RX-7s. I have an urgent question. Can I replace the transmission lock solenoids(on top of the transmission)without dropping the transmission?

I have today and tomorrow to work on my baby before I need to use it again. I am approaching 400,000 miles on this tranny, and I do not know if shifting manually from d2 to d3 to d4 is prematurely hurting it. In return I can tell anyone interested how to increase their mileage.

The easiest way to find out is to see the diagram and where they are and then you can see if you can get to them to replace. Goto Google.com and type in Acura oem parts. Search on a Acura parts website for the solenoid and it will give you a diagram

Thank you for your reply. I KNEW that Acuraworld was better than Acurazine. Sorry to see you sold and crushed a 1995 Lengend II One just came into Escondido CA Acura dealer for it's 6th 100,000 mile checkup!! Amazing!
