SYMPTOM

A squeak from the instrument panel when driving on
rough roads.

PROBABLE CAUSE

• The meter cover behind the gauge assembly is
rubbing against the gauge assembly or the air
duct.
• The instrument panel is rubbing against the visor,
the lens, or the dashboard pad.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

For vehicles built after the following affected VINs,
apply EPT Sealer to the meter cover only.
2.2CL: 19UYA1 ... VL020733
3.0CL: 19UYA2 ... VL011871

For vehicles built up to the VINs listed above, apply
EPT Sealer to the meter cover and replace the
padding on the instrument panel with wool felt.
