Hi guys,
I am ready to finally buy my first car (yeap, finally...), and I am considering getting a 2010-2012 Acura TL or a 2010-2013 Honda Accord EX-L.

I was at first inclined to choose the Acura TL but I've heard maintenance cost is way pricier than a Honda Accord. Also, since I'll be parking my car in the streets, some friends advise me into not getting it since it'll most likely get scratched.

The scratching part doesn't bother me too much, but I am worried about the maintenance cost. I remember reading somewhere that some guy at first loved it but ended up hating it after going through so much with it.

Lexus maintenance costs are higher then Toyota...
Infinity maintenance costs are higher then Nissan...

If you go to the dealer yes it will be more expensive. If you can find a trusted local mechanic or do a lot of the work yourself the parts maybe more expensive but basic maintenance should be about the same.

It's really up to you if it's worth it.

Maintenance is going to be about the same, if the Accord is a V6. They both need timing belt replacement at the 105K.
