maybe the dealership knows a way to turn of the code while you are logged on. I have a second gen TL but I found a sticker with my navi and radio code stuck on the side of my glove box. Maybe it is there on yours. Worth a shot.

Sadly, I checked the usual places and didn't turn it up. it was probably in the manual that the previous owner kept ...

So basically, I'm doomed I guess.

I've seen some kits that'll do this - in a round about way. They are sold at Autozone...basically you have your "new" battery chillin on the ground and take cables (careful with polarity!) and attach to battery cables still connected to "old" battery. CAREFULLY remove terminals from "old" battery, making sure to not let the + hit ground cable/body. Then just lift swap batteries and you're good to go. The kit has some "special" fittings in it to help you with the final step, and most likely you'll want a friend around to help with this so you don't get zapped....

 

I've done battery swaps with a battery trickle charger connected to the leads... it holds the memory while you swap out the battery.

be careful tho... it's not the safest thing to do... everything is still on and if you have any build up of gasses, you could be in some trouble...

I kept everything well ventilated... and didn't have a problem... but I probably still wouldn't recommend it. If you really don't have a convenient way to reenter the code, I might consider doing that... very carefully.

Just call your local dealer and provide the VIN, they should be able to give it to you at no charge.
