Hmm - wish I could help you bro.

Is it a CD-RW with a paper label on it? Those stick according to memory.

Let us know what you find.

yeah, I've heard that those CD labels can cause some problems. But if you don't have any labels on your CD's, don't let the dealer try to pull that "your burned CD's ruined the changer in the head unit" crap b/c my HU is always running burned CD's and I haven't had any problems. *knock on fake wood*

I agree. If they give you flack, ask for the old HU and pry the focker open with a screwdriver to get your CDs. :D

Will do....I have some CD-Rs with NO labels in there. They've always worked fine, been playing them in the Bose since day one. I've always been hesitant to use paper labels for that reason (getting jammed). So I leave them plain.

No doubt though, if they pull crap with me, I'll go ape sh!t in there. I'm already pissed that this is the second prob I'm having with a brand new car.

yeah i would say it's the cdr's problem. sometimes cdrs are made a bit thicker than what it should be and that could be easily jammed, so that might be the cause.

have you tried to eject the cd out? i have heard a lot of stories of people trying to do that. you will see the door opening and you can SEE the cd but it just doesn't come out. now what you should do is to use another cd and try to push it in a bit. not to INSERT the cd but to push the jammed cd inside. a lot of times this will re-eject the jammed cd and it might work. try that, a lot of people have done that before. you can try both the eject or load button

Actually I had a problem with my CD player because it wasn't playing a few CDs. I don't remember if they were CD-Rs or not cause it's been a while. Anyways, I took it in to PAA and explained what happened. I guess luck was on my side cause they just happened to have a brand new HU in stock so they just replace my whole HU with the new one. Damn, I love PAA!:D

ACTUALLY, I read my 2003 manual last night. It clearly states CDRs are OK for use in the BOSE. Their only suggestion is to use "high quality". ~It's a matter of opinion about what is high quality.~

I went to the dealer today. The CD door doesn't even open. It's totally jammed, ALL 6 discs. They ordered a new HU. (Reman. of course) When it arrives, they'll swap out the HU, send my jammed HU back to ACURA. They said it takes about 3 weeks to get the CDs back. But they will arrive in the mail.

If not I get $20 per disc and they agreed to pay for my gas for having to drive back and forth to the dealership. I'm so glad I used this dealer. They have been nothing but EXCELLENT so far.

WTF?

Sooooo, the Service Mgr at my dealer calls me to tell me the 2003 models are the first to get the 6 disc in-dash cd changer. Therefore, there are none to be remanufactured yet, so....they have no idea when my new changer will be ready. But I'm first on the list.

WTF?:wtf:

Isn't this :bs: ?? I could have sworn I've seen other model years with in-dash changers. Even the Accord has had an in-dash changer for a while.

Also, since I bought my car through my Credit Union promo, I was gauranteed "rock bottom" pricing. (Should have been $500 over invoice.) Finding out now, my dealer tried to screw me, so one call to me friends over at the CU and boom, they're all over the dealer to get me some $$ back. Hmmmm, looks like I may get my body kit sooner than I thought.

I believe the 01 CL was the 1st to have the 6-disk in-dash changer.

THE SAGA CONTINUES!

Yeah, I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. According to the dealer. Acura has none to be remanufacutered and are back ordered on New HUs. (6 disc in dash)

I called Acura Customer Care today. Erin told me, "I never heard of these being on back order. But we'll research and call you back in 48 hours."

In the meantime, it's been 2 weeks w/no CDs. And I'm tired of hearing the same songs on the radio. ....ugh...do I have to go buy tapes and a tape recorder so I can listen to my cds?

We'll see!!

nah, i would never believe that BS by the dealer. there gotta be somewhere where the dealer can get a new HU to replace the stock one. each HU has its own security code, that kinda proves that it's independent of the car.

and no, i would never ever go back to tape

UPDATE!

Finally got my BRAND SPANKIN' NEW CD changer installed at the dealer today. Damn, it's been almost 4 weeks w/no cds.

The ultimate problem was the EJECT button was stuck internally. CDs were never jammed!!!!

The dealer filled me up with a fresh FULL tank of gas (I was riding E when I got there) :bigok:
