Freaky book. I just remembered it now for some reason. The "firemen" in it light fires instead of putting them out. Another good one to check out is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

I am currently reading Lord of the Rings, book 1. :)

Any other readers out there?

I've been meaning to start reading "Nostradamus & His Prophecies". I know some of you don't believe that stuff, but its just a learning experience for me and a good way to kill time.

Maybe I'll start reading it while I drive to work since I have a 45 min. drive to work in the morning. :sqnteek:

I'm definitely not a reader. I wish I liked to read books though. Amazingly enough, I can usually keep up with people in a grammatical and vocabulary sense that have read books all their life. :dunno:

The more things change, the more they stay the same? :dunno:

I remember 11 or 12 years ago when I had to read that - all my classmates were saying the same thing - LOL!

The book that influenced me the most was definitely The Grapes of Wrath. The classics are just - well, classic. It's too bad that in the final analysis modern fiction will not rise to the level of the great classics. :-/

Hey Sky, it's "Bradbury". Brave New World is a good book too, there are people walking around campus saying "I wish our society was like BNW".

You know what another good book is? The Great Gatsby gy F. Scott Fitzgerald. I read it sophomore year. I don't read a lot outside of requirements (unless you count magazines :D ), but I've managed to enjoy a lot of books that were required reading. :dunno:
