Ive been hearing a clicking noice coming from the front drivers side of the car for about 2 months now and about 2 weeks ago I had a whole new rack and pinion put in the car because my other one was shot and Acura told me the clicking is most likely from the old rack and pinion. Once that was replaced i kept hearing the clicking but now its getting worse and worse really quickly. I dont hear it all the time. Its only when im turning right while braking. An example would be when im turning right into a parking spot. Is this my struts?? Brakes?? Something else??

I have the same issue. Definitely not the CV joints. CV joints usually start making noise when accelerating or rolling forward, not while braking. Also, my CV joints/axles are brand new. I have new struts, bar ends, upper arm, and freshly greased and booted lower ball joint. It happens when I'm braking and turning (like into a parking spot) as well. It's not the lower ball joint, that sounds different (I've had that issue on my other Acura). Tie rod ends possibly? Any help would be much appreciated. :beerchug:

I took the car in for Acura to look at and they told me that my half shaft needs to be replaced. My outer CV-Joint is bad and if the outer joint is bad, the whole half shaft needs to be replaced. You cant get by with replacing just the outer CV-Joints. Just thought id let the other posters in on this info since your all having the same problem.

Moto, my axles/CV-joints/half-shafts are all but brand new. I'm 99% sure that's not my problem. Let us know if replacement fixes your issue. Usually when the outer joints go you'll hear a clicking when taking sharp turns, and more when accelerating. Braking usually doesn't effect that noise. If the outer joints are bad that does NOT mean the inner joints are bad. The outer joints are subject to much greater stresses than the inner joints. THe cost difference of replacing just the outer joints, versus getting a whole new axles is minimal if any however.
