My grandfather came up to visit for the 4th of July and we washed and waxed his LS. He waxes it every 3 months and does a good job at keeping it clean, except the black plastic trim on the lower part of his car. He gets wax all over it and doesnt take it off. I read in the latest Motor Trend and I quote

"To remove wax from textured black plastic trim, use a soft cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol. This also works well for removing tree sap." (Motor Trend August 2002 Issue, Page 113 Care Care Labor Saving Tips)

I tried it and it does NOT work. It will slightly fade it, but not clean it. Is there anything that can clean this? It gets on my nerves to see this, its just not very pleasing to the eye. My mom also has this problem on her bumber and mirrors on her Tahoe. Any tips?
