my 97 3.5 rl has had this issue for months now. i have not been able to trace the cause so im coming here to see if anyone has a fix.

from the time i turn my car on both fans are running. doesent matter if its been sitting for a week and is stone cold or if its below freezing outside. every once in a while it will cut off, but within a few minutes they both come back on. i have even had instances where they will come on for a split second then turn right back off.

any help would be appreciated.

Are they operating at high speed or low speed? There's two circuits here to consider.

did not know that. if there is a way to test to tell which setting they are running on, i would appreciate letting me know how to and ill get right to testing it out to let you know.

Other than just the rotational noise of the fan, not that I know of. The low speed isn't very loud at all.

they are running on high from the start then. it is very audible even inside the car.
