Help, I broke the latch on the center console of my 2004 RL, I found a latch, but now I don't know how to get the broken latch out. There doesn't seem to be any screw or anything holding the lid together, the lid covers the latch. Its one of those one piece lids that opens toward the passenger side. totally stumped on how to get this thing out to replace it. I would appreciate any help.

It’s a two level lid. Open the top towards the passenger side. The rubber mat on the tray bottom peels off to reveal screws that hold on the part where the new latch will go. I don’t remember all the steps, but once you get to those screw’s you should be able to figure it out.
