I can't believe it! I was walking up to my friends front door when all of a sudden I noticed my front calipers! I had to do a double take cuz I was like WTF?! I left my car in the bodyshop for the weekend to have some suspention work checkup before I drive it down to vegas and all of a sudden I have different colored front calipers! I went in with 4 red calipers..and now the front 2 are colored what I think to be ABP...but since it's just sprayed over my paint job, it kinda has a violet hue to it. To top it all off...it's not even fully dry yet! I'm like WTF? I just picked up my car on Monday, so I'll fill you guys in what the bodyshop will say tomorrow. My guess is that they scratched my paint soo much that they tried to paint over it...but since they didnt have the paint code, that they are just going to try and color match. That's fine and dandy...but at least they can tell me that up front...and if you do color all 4 of them for god's sake!

OK...this is what happened. The owner instructed the mechanic to glaze the pads with some brake glue to prep the surface but I guess the mechanic misunderstood and instead gluified the entire exterior of the calipers. Once the owner of the shop found out he was like "oh shit!" and told me that'll he'll take care of it right away. Anyways...all is well and it was stripped completely off. I just put another coat of red paint and now it's as bright as ever.

The reason why I was there in the first place was that I was tracking down this MINUTE noise comming from the front of the car whenever I accelerate. Problem is that it SEEMS to be temperature sensitive so the owner test drove the car with me. I'm pretty sure he must of thought I was super anal cuz I told him that only the driver would be able to hear the noise and that if you accelerate to 2k RPMs or above that the engine noise would already drown it out.

I could of SWORN it was comming from the front left spring and that whenever it would expand, it would emit this small popping noise (sounded like the ends of the spring popping out of the seat)...but the mechanic thought that it may have been the brake pads that stick (that's why he was messing with my brakes).

Well...they double checked all the nuts and bolts and made sure EVERYTHING was tight, problem is I can still hear it ever so slighty (this problem should be fixed if I get around to lowering the car or changing out the shocks). My main concern now is to stop the creaking noises comming from the left rear pillar whenever it reaches below 65 degrees. I know most of you guys think I'm nuts, but after weeks of testing, I finally think I isolated all my cabin noises and tomorrow I plan to rip the seats off and insulate them one by one.

MY CAR MUST BE SILENT ON MY WAY TO VEGAS!

This will be my first long trip loaded with passangers and I want to represent the TLS the way it SHOULD BE.
