I read somewhere once that you can change the tire size on your Navi? I don't remember how...I think you press and hold some of the buttons when you turn the car on :dunno: Anyway, does anybody now how to do this?

Here you go bro.

start up procedure:
1. turn the ignition switch ON (II), then press and hold the keys in this order: 1) MENU key, 2) MAP/GUIDE key, 3) CANCEL key, and keep them pressed simultaneously

2. After the display changes to the diagnosis menu screen, touch the item you want to check.

3. Touch tire-calibrate

'00 model:
The AUTO TUNING is factory set to ON
The TIRE-CAL TUNING is used when you want to change your setup
It's from the member UW TL at other forum.

Don't do it. Leave it alone. Don't touch it.

Get the idea? Let the Navi adjust this setting itself, i.e. leave it in the "automatic" setting. You don't want to confuse the Navi do you?

No really, the Navi is adaptive and will calibrate for your tire size automatically.

I was in that diagnostic menu yesterday to adjust the yaw rate sensor for the car. When I make a turn, the car doesn't show me going straight down the road.

It was set to -0.4 CW and -0.7 CCW.

I backed out of my driveway while executing my normal 90 degree turn to go down the street, and the unit was only at like 85 degrees :sqnteek:

I adjusted to 0 CW and 0 CCW (to start my experiment), did the same back-out, and it was within two degrees of 90 :)
