Check Keyless Starting System - clicking & battery drain

2017 Acura RDX, base model.

Came to my garage and saw my headlights were dimly on, hadn't been driven in 2 days. Went to start car, wouldn't start, jumped it, all was well.
Went for a 15 minute drive to get the battery charged, when I returned home and hit the button to turn the car off, started getting clicking noises, and the dash started flashing on and off, and the car wouldn't turn off. Tried several times and finally the car shut off. Went to start it - started up fine, but with the error message "Check Keyless Starting System". Knowing something is wrong, I turned my headlights from "Auto" to "Off" as to not drain the battery, but low and behold, this morning the battery is dead again.

Battery is 1 year old. Battery in key fob is 2 weeks old. Has been driven approximately 300 miles since I changed key fob battery. Overall, the car has 44k miles on it. Have tried both keys to eliminate that as an issue. Seems alternator is fine (as it did charge the battery just fine after my 15 minute drive, enough to start the car several times). What could be going on? Google isn't helping me out much here.

Here's what it does when it's running and I try and turn it off:

Been having a similar issue with my 2012 Acura TL...were you able to find a solution??
Here is everything I've gone thru. Problem still exists, though it went away for awhile:

Seems like a problem with various Hondas. Was able to get a code pulled when this light came on and it was B1036, check keyless access starting system. According to the service manual it's either an micu problem or open/high resistance in a wire on one of the pin connectors. Only happens to me when ever the car gets wet.
Hi I'm having the same exact issue in my 2018 mdx.
Did you find the solution?
A key fob will constantly try to communicate with the car. And that does cause a slight drain on the battery, but generally that won't completely drain a healthy car battery,” says Mike Monticello, Consumer Reports' road test manager.
Smart entry unit is failing. Took my 2017 mdx with the same problem. Only issue is the part is on back order. Acura dealership quoted the labor & parts just over 800$ before tax. Hope that helps.
