Collision Mitigation Braking System - Yay or Nay?

Hey guys I am currently looking to buy either a '16 or '17 RDX, mainly for a vehicle for my GF to use and commute. I am just wondering if I should brother to get the trim with the Collision Mitigation Braking System or not because it's alot harder to find and more expensive, but it could be safer for my GF to drive? After some research I can see it potentially create some problems and issues (Sudden braking, sensor mal-functions, etc.). Just like to see if any of you guys got any input on this before I make the decision.
