from what i have red yes it helps the mpg a bit. and most of all it gives you the effect of having the cai

I know of two people who have it done to their TL-p's. they get slightly better mileage and a little more noise, but it is no whee near the effect of the CAI, that's why comptech is making the ice box. MY cai is more beefier and louder and produces more power than a removed resonator and high flow filter. I raced them both and they have both lost, and my car sounds way better.
