my computer is making a funny clicking rattling sound...not good.

I think my HD might be crashing on me soon or something...it's a Western Digital drive.

Gay Jay told me to run a WD HD Diagnostic on it but the program crashes every time I try to run it. Ideas? :-\

I dunno, unplug the fan and see if the noise disappears?
That's prob the first thing. It could just be a $10 fan that needs replacing. If the noise persist. Back up everything, Format Hard Drive. If it happens after that, Buy a new hard drive.

BACKUP! BACKUP! BACKUP! Could you afford to lose everything in your computer? Your hard drive will eventually fail, taking your critical files with it. Even more likely is the risk of accidental deletion, or corruption due to software glitches or power failures. Floppy disks simply aren’t up to the task of backing up today’s systems. A high performance Zip drive or tape drive can quickly and easily backup your important files.
