Exactly what is the specifics for the type of coolant used in the first generation RDX. Mine is a 2011; and If anyone has any ideas here; I would like to try and find out where else other than the dealer I can go for a professional cooling system flush and refill for a cost less than the dealer. My dealer that i normally go to wants 130 for the coolant system service which by the time you add in parts and labor you are probably talking 150ish. OUCH!!!. So, no i am not trying to take a shortcut on maintenance here; but i do however want to try and save some $ if i can cause 150 isnt exactly pocket change i have laying around. Thanks for any info you can provide. -Matt

Never ever ever ever get a cooling system flush. Acura recommends against it as well. Because of the caustic nature of the chemicals in a flush as well as the excess pressures used, it can cause more harm than good.

Acura coolant is a premix with distilled water. Use the OEM stuff, just dump and fill.
