We had a problem similar on a different car- a 2 year old Kia Niro PHEV with 2800 miles, it locked up and we could not get in, then when we finally did get in, it wouldn't start, we couldn't open the hatch or anything. We jumped it and took it in. It was the OEM battery. KIA batteries were out of stock/ on back order at the time so the matched it with a nice aftermarket for us and installed it- under warranty.
