After driving in traffic for an hour, I started the car two hours later. The engine light came on and the idle was rough and while driving, it was skipping and it felt like it was "miss firing". Next day same thing but the VSA and warning "orange triangle" light came on also. Any tips as what's wrong and can I drive it short distances slowly?

I'd say that you should be able to drive short distances without a problem. Head over to an Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts and get the codes read (which they do for free) post them here, and I'll try to help you with some diagnosis
