I just changed the engine oil myself last weekend. I took 5 qt. for refill. I read on th enet that the refill should take 7 qt. Is that how much everyone else has used in refills?

I'm showing that the RDX should be 5.0 quarts in the Acura database.....sounds like you're fine

Thanks Tim. Strangely enough I see that Acura specifies 7 qt oil capacity for RDX. Nevertheless, I go with 5 qt and as you mentioned I believe I'm OK.

It takes 4.5 qts. Any more then that you are over filling. Go to owners manual

How often is recommended that you change the oil? I am a 3 day new owner of '14 mdx and appears to be like 6 or 7 different maintenance schedules, which one do I use? Thanks for any advice!
