I have a little over 900 miles on my 6 speed and took it for a little drive tonight. The car is bone stock except for the Dunlop tires I took off my 1st CL. I heard this guy in the truck next to me talking (cell phone?) and though he said something about racing. The light turned and he took off. Lots of engine noise and the nose rose. No doubt he was on it. Since I WASN'T racing, I was sitting there in neutral with the clutch out. When I saw him go, I hurried up and punched it myself. I have no idea what rpm I engaged the clutch at, but it couldn't have been that high. Maybe 2000-2500. I wasn't really trying to launch hard, just get it engaged quickly and smoothly and go fast. To my surprise, I wound up spinning through half of the intersection. I even backed off the throttle a little to quiet it down and still pulled hard on the guy. Its a totally different experience than losing traction with the auto and VSA. With VSA the car bucks and bogs. In the 6 speed, you feel the tires skipping but it still goe straight and fast. I remember commenting that when I put my Dunlops on the 01, I couldn't break them loose on dry pavement with WOT straight line acceleration. It was way too easy in the 6 speed.
