Had a 95 teg SE that my former friend totaled, going thru court for restitution, and this girl is being shipped to alaska for the army for 3 years, and don't want the car to just sit, so its gunna be army crate shipped from San Antionio to the closest military base to me, then towed to my home. Did I mention the shipping is FREE!

Anything seem sketchy about this? I don't see anything wrong with it, looks flawless and Im getting it for an absolute steal!
Question, why do the RPMS top out at 10k as opposed to every single other car ive ever seen top at 8k? I was about to pay 6k for a Prelude. this seems to be the much better deal.

I don't think that's a real Type R. The sunroof is a dead giveaway. But it is a very good conversion.

Can anyone else confirm or deny how legit it is? Seats are real, but anyone could buy those seats... anything under the hood indicate its legit? I'm not too car savvy, I do see no type R stickers on the outside, but I figured they could have been removed. The car looks garage kept... pretty nice ride either way. If it isn't true type r, can anyone tell if it's atleast GSR?

EDIT: After contacting seller, she says the sunroof was dealer installed and she has the paper work for it being a real type r. Army srgt, seems legit to me... gunna go with it I think, it's a steal

What's the engine code? B18C1 or B18C5? It does look like a B18C5 with that intake manifold, but who knows.

Seems really fucking sketchy. Number 1 it isnt a type r shell as it wouldnt have a sunroof. And did yoi say 2000?? Lmao the b18c5 engine alone goes for 3000+

Sunroof was dealer installed, the sergeant says she has the paperwork for it, matching vins to a legit type r and everything.
I don't think a government military official would shit on me... she's being sent to Alaska for 3 years and don't want it to sit, so is trying to get rid of it asap for cheap.

I know there's a Type R registry online somewhere. That's probably going to be your best bet for confirming if it is a real type r or by via VIN. I have seen a few (very few) Type R's with DIO sunroofs. It's a shame what they do to the cars just for sunroof.

Dude no way in the world a person would sell a REAL Type-R for $2000 i dont care if they were trying to sell it fast because they were shipping out. The motor by itself it $4000 plus EASY and theres no outer badging that says ITR on it. If you were smart dont send a dime till you see a title or paper work proving its real or your out $2000. Hell the ITR wheels almost $1500 if there real ones think hard about it

If anything, get the VIN and have a Honda dealership run it. They should be able to tell you the exact model year and trim level. Cut the BS and just have it validated.
