HFL not pairing PLUS frozen radio display

Greetings - my 2004 TL's HandsFreeLink is frozen, meaning while trying to pair it to my iPhone, the screen says Pairing (then my 4-digit passcode), and I cannot get beyond that. During my initial try my phone said it did not pair, so I tried it again. This time it froze with the "Pairing XXXX" message, but my radio display is also frozen with the word "Phone" and the radio won't play.

Suggestions?
