"Designed from the ground up on the racing-inspired FM (Front Mid-ship) platform, the all-new 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe offers all of the advanced technology, leading-edge design and luxury amenities of the recently introduced Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan but in a stylish, two-door 2+2 body. The G35 Sport Coupe features a long list of standard performance features, including a 275-plus horsepower 3.5-liter DOHC V6 mated to a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or 5-speed electronically controlled automatic with manual shift mode. Inside, the G35 Sport Coupe offers the expected levels of Infiniti premium available amenities, ranging from ultra soft leather seating surfaces and Bose® premium audio system to a DVD-type Infiniti Navigation System and much more. The Infiniti G35 Sport Coupe is scheduled to go on sale in fall 2002, with pricing expected to start under $30,000."

Personally, I figure the SELL price to be more along the lines of $38,000. :(

I think the base 350Z will be around $30k.
As for the Infiniti, you're probably right about the $38k. I can't wait for the AWD Skyline version of this car to hit the states......they keep promising, but I'm not holding my breath until it's available for test drive.

man...i've done ALOT of G35 bashing but the coupe doesn't look all that bad. the rear is cleaned up a little and debadging would be nice. the front is okay...i think it would benefit from a front lip and maybe even meshing in those two holes.

question: anyone know of a specific date when it goes on sale? it MIGHT be worth my while to test drive it. :dunno:

Yeh, I did some reading this weekend on that. I'm not too familiar with the Skyline, but I'd have to say that if it's an AWD platform, it will likely be over $40k. :dunno:

It's due out in November. And, it's looks to me like there is black meshing in the "holes".

around 30k, what r u smoking - pass it over to me. by the time u r done walking out the door it's liek 35k. look at the current road & track that has the article on it. 2 bad the s2000 beat it in most areas. braking, better gas mileage, stopping power. but 1/10 of a second slower to the 60, which i can fix. Plus the s2000 is a roadster and cost 3k less at least. I stick to my s2000 and butt whopping.

but the g35 does look quiet sweet. I would consider it..

I visited the Infiniti dealer today. They told me they'll be getting 13 G-35 coupes during the last two weeks of September! I am on the list for a test drive! :bigok:

Define "front mid-ship"? I think infiniti is throwing out all these new words to make it sound cool. I test drove the g35 and it just isn't fun. It's fast, but not inspiring.:(

I've heard the definition before so I'm doing this from memory, but I think it means the centerline of the engine is behind the front axle as opposed to in front of it. To be a true mid-engine I think the entire engine has to be behind the front axle or something. The whole purpose of calling out this front mid-ship design out is to show that the front/rear weight distrubtion is a little better.
