honest Acura mechanics

I need to find a good, honest mechanic in Orange County (especially anaheim hills) area to do routine maintenance for my TL. Anyone know of anyone? I just don't trust the dealer anymore, nor do I like their high prices.

Please post the names and addresses of any reputable shops that you know. I hope we can get a good list going to support our growing TL community.

routine maintenance?? doing what??

Body & Paint for TL members?? :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:
Paul,

You've already made my list for paint & body work. The body kit you painted for me still looks sharp. :) I still plan on coming in sometime to get that key scratch fixed on my right rear passenger door. I just haven't had any free time for quite awhile now.

I'm thinking of routine maintenance like inspecting, adjusting components, belts, brakes, flushing the tranny fluid, stuff like that.
hey paul how's your pricing? :) how long does it take you to do a paint job?

It really depends on what we're doing. Anywhere between 2 days to 3~4 week for paint job.

Special price for my TL friends?? OH YEAH!!!! ;) ;)
I need that, too. The dealers just drive me crazy with hight price and appointment for everything. Also they don't fix my Navi because I use the RGB mod!! :bigcry:
There is no such thing as an honest mechanic!

I've heard your story about the hood, rominl. I feel sorry for you. :( Anyways, back to the topics. Most of times, we have to blend adjacent panels for the color match. However, if the damage is on the middle, that means we don't have to blend other panels because we probably blend within the panel. If we can just re-shoot the hood, it's about 350~400 depends on the car. If we have to blend both fenders, it's about 150 more.

in that case are you saying that painting the hood and the two fenders together would be a relatively cheaper job?

I never said that, rominl. :dunno:

If we have to blend the fenders, of course that will cost more.
