I've searched the net and found mostly marketing videos and animations that don't explain much.
Here's what I've gathered, correct or not.
Only one intake valve opens unless high power is needed, then both are used. Hydraulics disable or enable the second intake rocker arm as required.
Hydraulics in the intake cam sprocket can force the intake cam to advance and retard.
Is the cam angle fully adjustable or is it simply all one way or the other?
Can anyone shed light on this or point me in the right direction?
I don't have the Type S with the Z3 engine, it looks even more complicated and changes valve action on the exhaust cam as well.
