Just bought a 2008 MDX and two of the banana posts are broken off on the Aux Input panel on the center console.... the part is $150 not to even think about labor costs... so I am really good with speaker wiring stuff... so how do I get to the panel that hosts these connectors? How do I take the center console apart so I can get to it... if I can get to it, I can replace the posts or worse case yet, run a cable back into my center console where I can then hook up my MP3 player or iPad.... any help would be greatly appreciated as I dont want to spend $150 for the part plus the labor involved.... thanks in advance!

Are you saying the prongs are broken off in the RCA inputs? If so, that's an easy fix. Mine has this issue too, from the previous owner. I used a fish hook, with the "hook" broken off, but you can use a needle, etc. I heated it up with a candle, and then stuck it into the hollow plastic part of the broken pin. Let it cool for a few seconds, and then pulled the broken off pins right out.

Nope... the actual female RCA jacks (2 of them) are broken off... so I need to replace either the total jack panel or figure out a way to at least get to the wiring so that I can wire in another pair of them, or replace them, or run a new wire from them into the center console so I can plug it into a headphone jack on an MP3 player or iPad, etc. The actual part costs $150... so am not looking towards that solution until I exhaust tring to find someone who can help me figure out how to get to the actual back of the jack panel or wiring..... HELP!!!
